PAINTING A PORTRAIT IN OIL FROM A MODEL
Judy Burgarella
In this all-skill level, two-day workshop, students will learn to paint from life, in a quick and energized effort to capture a likeness in oils. Under painting, placement and composition will be covered, and the instructor will demonstrate how to map out the face and body using various measuring tools used by artists throughout the ages. This workshop will utilize a live model dressed in historic attire in celebration of the Museum’s exhibit Victorian Radicals. Students will tour the exhibit and the instructor will point out and discuss examples of fine portraiture.
