The ‘New York Ten’—A Portfolio of Work Gifted to VBMA by Mark and Cindy Galant
The ‘New York Ten’ is a portfolio of ten prints published in 1965 by Tanglewood Press, a highly regarded fine art publisher active from 1964 to 1991 whose editions include works by many of the 20th century’s most influential artists. The portfolio is held in the permanent collections of both the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Museum of Modern Art, and now, thanks to the generosity of Mark and Cindy Galant, the Vero Beach Museum of Art holds a complete set of prints.
Vero Beach Museum of Art to Open Satellite “Hub” in March 2027
At the conclusion of a dynamic and informative 2026–2027 season, rich with lectures, performances, art classes, and first-of-its-kind exhibitions, the Vero Beach Museum of Art, in mid-February 2027, will be saying goodbye to its current facility to forward the development of a new VBMA campus in Riverside Park, opening in 2028. The Museum will vacate the entire facility, except the Collections Wing, to make way for indoor and outdoor community gathering spaces, galleries, gardens, terraces, and courtyards that will comprise a new, comprehensive arts center for the Vero Beach community and beyond.
Programs for Veterans Create Community of Creativity and Support
Exploring creativity is a vital goal of the free Veterans’ Program offered at the Vero Beach Museum of Art. Veterans draw inspiration from instructor-led gallery visits, then head to the studios to try their hand at a variety of artistic techniques. The classes have a critical side benefit: they create community for an important segment of our local residents seeking an outlet.
Vero Beach Museum of Art Adds Two Global Finance Leaders to its Board of Trustees
At its annual meeting, the Vero Beach Museum of Art’s Board of Trustees demonstrated its continued commitment to exemplary governance and long-term stewardship by welcoming new Trustee Alan Wilkinson, elected in March, and electing Kevin D. Willsey to the Board. Elected to serve for second three-year Board terms were Trustees Mary E. Blair, Lisa Bullock, Sherry Ann Dayton, Richard Frary, and Chair Richard D. Segal. Vice Chair James C. Penrose was renewed for a third three-year term.

For more than 40 years, the Vero Beach Museum of Art has positioned education at the forefront of its mission. Its engaging exhibitions, lectures, events, classes, workshops, and outreach programs are widely attended by Vero Beach and Indian River County residents.
Adapting Art: Fostering Creative Expression
Each week, a lively group of teens and young adults on the autism spectrum and those with other learning differences are welcomed to the Museum for VBMA’s free A+ART program.
