The VBMA has in its holdings various high-quality artworks made of glass. The new exhibition in the Stark Gallery and Rotunda focuses on the curator’s choice of these pieces. The works are centered around Dale Chihuly’s large Lapis Blue Persian, made in 1990.
The Museum of Sonoma County, Santa Rosa, California, is home to one of the largest collections in the nation of works by environmental artists Christo and Jeanne-Claude. The collection was donated in 2001 to the Museum by local art collector Tom Golden, who spent many years working closely with the artists to help realize several of their epic projects.
