Located in the Museum’s Hazel Education Wing, the Patten Community Gallery showcases exhibitions of artwork from faculty, students, and local community art organizations.

Indian River County Sheriff’s Office Exhibition
August 7 – September 13, 2026
This exhibition celebrates a unique collaboration between the Indian River County Sheriff’s Office and the Vero Beach Museum of Art (VBMA). Through this innovative partnership, VBMA teaching artists provide art instruction for ten inmates per session residing in the Indian River County Jail. These five-week classes feature a variety of media and are inspired by and based on the Museum’s collection and special exhibitions.

VBMA Student Exhibition
September 18, – November 1, 2026
This annual exhibition celebrates the creativity and dedication of both longtime and new VBMA students who have participated in classes and workshops at the museum. Showcasing a diverse range of artistic expressions, the exhibition features works in various media, including drawing, mixed media, and painting. The displayed artworks highlight the talent, imagination, and commitment of VBMA students across multiple art forms.

VBMA Veteran’s Exhibition
November 6 – December 13, 2026
This exhibition showcases the artwork created by Veteran’s who participate in VBMA’s Veteran’s art classes. A variety of media is represented, including oil, watercolor, drawing, textiles, and clay.

VBMA Faculty Exhibition
December 18 – February 7, 2026
This exhibition features a variety of media, including acrylic, drawing, mixed media, oil, pastel, photography, and watercolor. The artists represented are instructors who teach classes and workshops at the Museum throughout the year. This showcase highlights the creativity, exceptional talent, and professional expertise of VBMA instructors, offering a diverse array of artistic expression.
