NEW! THE MYSTERY OF DOMES

Chris Fasolino
All Levels
Monumental domes are perhaps the greatest challenge in architecture. Explore the Pantheon, masterpiece of the Roman Empire; Brunelleschi’s dome in Florence, a seemingly impossible task that helped give birth to the Italian Renaissance; Michelangelo’s dome for St. Peter’s in Rome; and St. Paul’s in London, which was controversial when its aged architect, Sir Christopher Wren, completed it. We conclude with “the dome that is not there.”
