About the Circle
What is the mission?
The Circle is a philanthropic group of women committed to making a difference by evaluating and funding Vero Beach Museum of Art (VBMA) community-focused initiatives through art enrichment programs that enhance lives.
What is the objective of The Circle?
To raise a minimum of $100,000 annually to assure continuation and sustainability of the Museum’s Community Impact and Education programs. The Circle will engage the mind, spirit and passion of every member who believe that building bridges through art can offer participants a much needed window into a different, better world with choices on how to see and be.
Who may join The Circle?
Membership is open to all women committed to assuring that art educational opportunities are available to all ages throughout Indian River County, regardless of any economic barriers that may exist.
Why join The Circle?
– To have a greater impact by combining each gift with the gifts of others.
– To meet and collaborate with like-minded women who share common interests and priorities.
– To learn collectively about VBMA’s Community Impact programs.
– To experience The Circle’s valuable public presence while remaining private, if one chooses.
How does The Circle work?
– Each member donates a minimum of $325 annually. Many donate more.
– Payment of pledges is due between April 1 and March 31 of a program year.
– Members meet to learn about VMBA education programs with the opportunity to observe selected programs in action through site visits.
– During the season-ending reception in April, members cast their votes and grant recipients are announced.
What is the calendar?
– November Opening Tea
– January Business Meeting
– February Breakfast Meeting
– March Business Meeting and Vote
– April Closing Reception and Final Vote
– Ongoing Voluntary participation in committees within The Circle.
