Aric Attas
Aric Attas holds a B.S. in Psychology from Hobart College and an M.F.A. in Photography from the Hartford Art School. He has won numerous awards for his work which has been widely exhibited. As a two-time cancer survivor he thrives on sharing the healing power of creativity with others through art, music, creativity coaching, workshops, and speaking engagements.
Sandy Bachmann
Sandy Bachmann earned her B.F.A. in advertising design at the New York Institute of Technology. After moving to Florida, she returned to school for a teaching degree in Art and taught for 18 years in Broward and Indian River County before retiring. She rekindled her passion for pottery and has been instructing ceramics workshops for adults since 2018. Sandy has won several awards for her work and was featured in the Nov 2024 issue of LIV VERO Magazine.
Lynn Berkowitz
Lynn Berkowitz M.F.A., B.F.A., with a career in art museums and online learning, has developed an array of award-winning gallery tours, experiences, and apps aimed at helping audiences of all ages and abilities engage with a diversity of art ‘isms and approaches.
Robbin Buller
Robbin Buller holds an MFA from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale and a B.F.A. from Florida Atlantic University. He has extensive experience in the ceramics industry, having worked as a production potter for large-scale manufacturers and owning a wholesale pottery business with national distribution. For the past 15 years, Robbin has taught art at a small liberal arts university in North Carolina. His ceramic art has been exhibited in national exhibitions.
Judy Burgarella
Judy Burgarella has taught painting and drawing for over 20 years, and her work has been exhibited in many museums, galleries, and shows, earning her numerous awards. She is an artist of many mediums, and she has studied with such notable artists as Christopher Chang, Dorothy Starbuck, Karen Lafell-Massengill, Lou Bonomarte, and Charles Gruppe.
Walford Campbell
Walford Campbell attended the Walsall School of Art and Derby Lonsdale College in England. He served as the head of Ceramics at Solden Hill House in England and taught at Edna Manley College in Kingston, Jamaica. Walford’s focus is on surface decoration and larger sculptural forms.
Monique Carr
Monique Carr is a contemporary painter and art instructor known for her vibrant, energetic style. Born and raised in Montreal, Canada, Monique spent a decade in the Cayman Islands before settling in East Tennessee in 1999. Recently, she and her husband relocated to Vero Beach, where she now runs her own gallery and studio. With over 20 years as a graphic artist, Monique transitioned to fine art, developing a signature style that merges expressive colors with captivating textures, creating work that radiates movement and emotion.
Adam Conard
Adam Conard has been actively involved in the arts over the last 20 years. Some highlights of Adam’s career have been traveling to Mexico and Fiji to teach art, exhibiting a painting alongside works by Andy Warhol, and starting numerous emerging artist programs. Adam enjoys seeing his student’s inner arts and creative voice emerge and has a knack for helping his students feel confident and secure
Camy De Mario
Camy De Mario is a self-taught artist, children’s book author, illustrator and screenwriter. She has produced short animated movies, and has participated in several national and international film festivals, where she has received multiple awards. Camy has taught art classes both virtually and in person. Her own art uses bright colors which results in happy pieces with her favorite techniques of pointillism and doodling.
Ashlynn Edds
Ashlynn Edds received her Bachelors of Fine Arts from Flagler University in St. Augustine, Florida. She is currently attending the University of Central Florida to complete her masters degree in Art Education. She is also an elementary school art teacher in the Merritt Island area. She has experience in many different art and studio mediums as well as having experience with digital art. She combines her experience and education in traditional art, digital art, and art history, in a fun and unique way to enhance creativity and a love for learning.
Chris Fasolino
Chris Fasolino has an M.A. in Art History and English Literature from the State University of New York. He has taught art history for 15 years, including undergraduate classes and courses for museum docents. His book Early Nature Artists in Florida: Audubon and His Fellow Explorers was published by Arcadia / The History Press. His historical adventure novel, Men of Promise, is available from Barnes & Noble.
Tina Floyd
Tina Floyd has loved art since she was a child, and now she loves nothing more then to share her love of art with children. Tina loves doodling, drawing, painting, and creating. She likes to take inspiration from other artists to create something new that is a reflection of her own life and experience. Much of her art includes plants, flowers, and cats. She currently teaches 2nd and 3rd grade as well as art classes through Fort Pierce Art Club.
Ken George Jr.
Ken George Jr. is Director of Photography and Videography Services at Ironside in Vero Beach. He has 15 years teaching experience in subjects such as animation, videography, and photography. He strongly believes that anyone can be taught how to capture beautiful images and get enjoyment from it as a hobby or career.
Camila Greco
Camila Greco began her ceramics journey in 2009 at Eastern Florida State College. After spending 10 years in the veterinary field, she transitioned to managing a ceramics production studio. Inspired to create her own pottery, she founded Green Bee Ceramics and has been selling her work and teaching workshops, wheel throwing, and hand building classes locally since 2019. Camila is also passionate about homeschooling her three children.
Xaque Gruber
Xaque Gruber is an artist, writer, and filmmaker. He has taught art to people with Alzheimer’s and to cancer patients as they receive their chemotherapy. In downtown Vero Beach, Florida, he manages Gallery Veritas & Art Library, the only library dedicated to art books on the Treasure Coast. He holds a B.F.A in Drawing from Pratt Institute, a M.A. in Teaching from Tufts University, and a M.S. in Television Production from Boston University.
Sherry Haaland
Sherry Haaland received her B.S. in Art Education from the State University of New York at New Paltz. She has extensive experience in both oils and pastels, having studied art and art history for many years. Sherry is a professional studio artist, receiving many commissions for pet portraits in pastels.
Joel Johnson
Joel Johnson has a B.F.A. in art from Westminster College and M.F.A. in painting and art history from Utah State University. A career artist, Joel has received numerous awards, exhibited in many national shows and has been featured in many fine art galleries throughout the country. Joel is a member of the National Watercolor Society and the Transparent Watercolor Society. He is also an exhibiting artist at the Prix de West in Oklahoma City at the Cowboy Heritage Museum. This will be his fifth year and in 2021 he was awarded the Donald Teague award for Outstanding Work on Paper. His work has been featured in Southwest Art magazine and also Fine Art Connoisseur magazine. His work is represented by Mountain Trails Fine Art in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Kent Johnson
Kent Johnson began his career in pottery at a very young age. In 1978, he apprenticed with Brent Bennett of Architectural Stoneware in Los Angeles before studying Ceramics at Palomar College in San Diego and in addition completed a two-year professional potter training program. He is a juried member of Many Hands Art and Craft Collective and has been an instructor at the Vero Beach Museum of Art since 2018.
Pearl Lau
Pearl Lau graduated from Art & Design HS and was an art director in Manhattan for over 20 years. She also holds a B.A. and M.A. in Art Education from CUNY, NYC. Pearl has taught at Northeastern University and the NYC Dept of Education. She has won several grants to study the arts of Ancient China and Meso-American Mexico, including a Fulbright to India. Pearl has won numerous awards as an art director, art educator and as an artist.
Stephanie Lovallo
Stephanie Lovallo is currently a professional painter and sculptor and is known for her large-scale assemblages and paintings. She earned her B.F.A. from FAU, a M.S. from Nova Southeastern University, and certification credits for Guidance and Counseling from Barry University Miami. She is a retired Broward County Schools art teacher, and a Broward Art Guild teacher and gallery participant.
Elise Mahovlich
Elise Mahovlich founded and operated Living Yoga studio in Vero Beach for 15 years. She is a certified Kripalu Yoga instructor with many thousands of hours of classroom teaching experience over 18 years. She is also certified to teach Prenatal Yoga and is a 3rd Degree Reiki Teaching Master.
Katie Nall, Ph.D.
Katie Nall, Ph.D. is a certified Qigong instructor through the Cloudwalker program in Vero Beach. She is also a mathematician, a two-time TEDx speaker, a professional member of National Speakers Association, an Accredited Master Trainer and Practitioner in Emotional Freedom Technique.
Terry Parker
Terry Parker was born and raised in Vero Beach, FL, and takes pride in serving the children of her community. She earned a BA in Elementary Education from Florida Atlantic University and an MA in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Phoenix. Terry retired from the School District of Indian River County and spent 25 years as the art educator at Citrus Elementary. She has also had the opportunity to teach art to many children over numerous summers at the Vero Beach Museum of Art (VBMA).
Marlene Evans Putnam
Marlene Evans Putnam has taught classes and conducted numerous workshops around the country. She is known for her portraits as well as seascapes, has won many awards, and continues to exhibit throughout the U.S. Mrs. Putnam’s work is included in many public and private collections.
Jack Reilly
Jack Reilly received his M.F.A. from Florida State University in 1978 and has since exhibited his paintings in numerous galleries and museums internationally. Recognized as an original artist of Abstract Illusionism, with reviews published in numerous periodicals and books, he has mounted over 50 solo exhibitions and countless group shows.
Barry Shapiro
Barry Shapiro is a graduate of Pratt Institute (B.F.A. in painting and printmaking) where he studied with internationally renowned artists such as James Grashow, Vasilios Toulis, Rudolph Baranik, and Audrey Flack. His portraits, landscapes and abstract paintings have been featured in multiple exhibitions and collections from California to New York.
Diane Thelen
Diane Thelen holds a Bachelor’s Degree in English, with minors in art and French, from Douglass College. She also did post- graduate work in education at Rutgers University. A former Language Arts teacher who has traveled abroad for many years, Diane combines a keen interest in film, together with a curiosity about people and cultures.
John M. Walcott
John M. Walcott is the Chief Instructor with 40 years of experience in healing and martial arts. A graduate of Palm Beach State College and Florida Atlantic University, he is certified in Chinese Tam Style and Ba Gua Zhang Kung-Fu, holds a 5th degree black belt in Gōjū-ryū Karate, and has extensive training in Medical Qigong. He has served on the Board of the National Qigong Association and is the founder of the Cloudwalker Place mind/body healing system.
