At its annual meeting, the Vero Beach Museum of Art’s Board of Trustees demonstrated its continued commitment to exemplary governance and long-term stewardship by welcoming new Trustee Alan Wilkinson, elected in March, and electing Kevin D. Willsey to the Board. Elected to serve for second three-year Board terms were Trustees Mary E. Blair, Lisa Bullock, Sherry Ann Dayton, Richard Frary, and Chair Richard D. Segal. Vice Chair James C. Penrose was renewed for a third three-year term.
Since 1989, Alan Wilkinson has been a partner in private equity firms, primarily at AEA Investors LP, a leading global private investment firm that partners with exceptional middle-market businesses. Alan retired in December 2022 as an active deal partner but continues to serve as Chair of the AEA Enterprise Investment Committee. He also remains active as a founding investor or senior advisor to other private investment companies. Alan is a Trustee Emeritus of De La Salle Academy, a middle school for economically disadvantaged children in New York City. He and his wife Cici have three children.
Kevin D. Willsey retired in 2026 as Chairman of Global Investment Banking and Capital Markets for J.P. Morgan. He spent more than 30 years with J.P. Morgan, initially working in the firm’s Latin American Corporate Finance/Mergers & Acquisitions group. After being recruited away to join Goldman Sachs as a Managing Director in Equity Capital Markets in early 2000, Willsey rejoined J.P. Morgan and, from 2001 to 2010, served as Head of Equity Capital Markets. He was named Co-Head of Investment Banking in 2010 before becoming Chairman of Global Investment Banking. Willsey sits on the board of the Japan Society, serving on its Endowment Investment Committee; the Business Advisory Council of the Farmer School of Business at Miami University; and the Carnegie Mellon Tepper School of Business Board of Advisors. He and his wife Delia have two children.
“Alan and Kevin’s wealth of experience, combined with their deep appreciation for the arts and unwavering commitment to our community, strengthens an already exceptional Board of Trustees and positions the Museum for continued growth and impact,” says VBMA Executive Director Brady Roberts. “We also extend our sincerest gratitude to our returning Trustees and recognize those whose past dedication has prepared us well for our future, especially A. Charles Baillie and Thomas L. Piper III, who each concluded a second term at the end of the last fiscal year.”
