VBMA Welcomes U.S. Military Personnel and Their Families with Free Summer Visits

Posted April 23, 2026

The Vero Beach Museum of Art joins Blue Star Museums from across the nation offering free admission to active-duty U.S. military personnel and their families from Saturday, May 16 (Armed Forces Day) through Sunday, September 6, 2026.

The free admission program is available for those currently serving in the United States Military—Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, Marine Corps, Navy, Space Force, members of the Reserves, National Guard, U.S. Public Health Commissioned Corps, NOAA Commissioned Corps, and up to five family members. Qualified members must show a Geneva Convention common access card (CAC), DD Form 1173 ID card (dependent ID), or a DD Form 1173-1 ID card to participate.

“We are pleased to again participate in the Blue Star Museums program and welcome active-duty military personnel and their families to the Museum this summer,” said Brady Roberts, Vero Beach Museum of Art executive director. While admission to VBMA is always free for military Veterans and active-duty personnel, as a Blue Star Museum, we proudly waive admission fees for the family members accompanying those actively serving military members.”

In addition to participating in this national program, the VBMA Art School honors U.S. military Veterans with a schedule of free classes and offers a 15% discount on regular classes and workshops.
