VBMA Summer Art Camp is designed to offer an environment for young artists to explore ideas, develop skills, help build self esteem, and encourage creativity through experiencing, making, and learning about all aspects of art.
VBMA Summer Art Camp includes a wide range of hands-on and minds-on activities that engage the imagination and spark kids to make their own original creations. Our expert instructors are professionally trained in getting the best work from their students in a fun, welcoming setting.

Faculty
All Summer Art Camp faculty are professional art educators who have extensive experience working with children in informal and formal learning environments. Classes take place Monday – Friday
Morning Sessions (AM): 9:30 am – 12:30 pm
Afternoon Sessions (PM): 1:30 pm – 4:30 pm
Optional Supervised Lunch (Pack a lunch): 12:30 pm – 1:30 pm
Drop-Off and Pick-Up Times
AM Drop-Off Begins: 9:00 am
AM Pick-Up: 12:30 pm
PM Drop-Off Begins: 1:00 pm
PM Pick-Up: 4:30 pm
Cost
Each week-long class is $100 for Members and $125 for Non-members (Includes supplies). Optional supervised lunch (Pack a lunch) is $35 per week.
What to Wear
Your child will be in a studio-based, art-making camp setting using materials in a safe and create manner. Please remember to dress for mess.
Snacks
Campers take daily snack breaks, so be sure to pack a healthy drink and snack* as well. There will be no vending machine available. (*Please, no peanut-based products)
Supervised Lunch
For those who would like their camper to stay for lunch, supervised lunch care is available from 12:30 – 1:30 pm. Cost is $35 per camper per week. Lunch is not provided, so be sure to pack one.
Absences
We reserve space for each child exclusively during the registered week(s). Tuition payments are final. Make-up classes are not offered.
Cancellation Policy
The Vero Beach Museum of Art reserves the right to cancel any session if enrollment isn’t sufficient. In this case, any tuition paid will be refunded in full. If your child will not be attending any registered session, please let us know as soon as possible so that we can offer the space to another child.
Refund Policy
Requests for refunds are made in writing, two weeks prior to start of registered session. You will be issued a refund of tuition, minus a $25 processing fee. No refunds will be issued after that time.

YOUNG ARTIST INTENSIVES CLASSES
Intensives are offered weekly during morning and afternoon sessions. Explore The Artist Within! These summer classes are for the student looking for a mini-course in the creative possibilities of a particular artistic medium. Campers will build their skills and the artist’s portfolio each day in a real studio environment.

Campers will learn the styles of abstract art, such as non-objective, cubism, and expressionism, through a simplified and fun exploration of artists, such as Jackson Pollock and Pablo
Picasso. Try drip painting, geometric and organic shapes in collages, mixed media, and three-dimensional projects.
