VBMA GLASS WORKS
On view through September 1, 2021
The VBMA has in its holdings various high-quality artworks made of glass. The new exhibition in the Stark Gallery and Rotunda focuses on the curator’s choice of these pieces. The works are centered around Dale Chihuly’s large Lapis Blue Persian, made in 1990. In the Stark Rotunda, the enigmatic glass sculpture Reclining Dress Absence, by Karen LaMonte, takes center stage. Also included in the exhibition are works by Kenneth Kerslake, Jon Kuhn, Dante Marioni, Benjamin Moore, Italo Scanga and others.
