Gallery Docent Tours


Join a free gallery tour with a Museum docent (offered daily at 2 pm) to explore highlights from the Museum’s collection or a special exhibition. Tours are Free with Museum Admission.

 

 

Art Talk

Join VBMA docents for an in-depth focus on select artworks from the exhibition Victorian Radicals: From the Pre-Raphaelites to the Arts & Crafts Movement. Trained docents will pick up registered participants at the Information Desk, then head to the galleries for 30-45 minutes of careful looking and discussion based on the themes below. All programs begin at noon.

Wednesday, February 20 – Victorian Rebels

Wednesday, March 13 – Victorian Women

Wednesday, April 17 – Victorian Designers

FREE with paid Museum Admission (Adults: $12 / Seniors: $10)

Members, Children (17 years and under), and Active Military with ID receive free admission.

Gallery Kits

Stop at the Visitor Services Desk and ask to borrow a Gallery Kit! The kit contains sketching materials for you to use in the galleries. Please feel free to take home your artwork but return the drawing materials to Visitor Services. Kits are recommended for families with children aged 5 -17.
