Patricia M. Patten Community Gallery
Located in the Museum’s Hazel Education Wing, the Patten Community Gallery showcases exhibitions of artwork from faculty, students, and local community art organizations.
August 1 – September 9, 2025
This exhibition celebrates a unique collaboration between the Indian River County Sheriff’s Office and the Vero Beach Museum of Art (VBMA). Through this innovative partnership, VBMA teaching artists provide art instruction for ten inmates per session residing in the Indian River County Jail. These five-week classes feature a variety of media and are inspired by and based on the Museum’s collection and special exhibitions. This inaugural exhibit proudly showcases inmates’ artworks from the first three classes Exploring Gelli Printing, Watercolor Immersion, and Ceramic Tiles.
