Annual Fund

Art Matters… to our families and our children. Your gift to the Annual Fund makes it possible for the VBMA to continue to be THE art museum for the Treasure Coast– providing essential support for a diverse array of programs that can change lives. During the temporary closure of the VBMA and throughout the pandemic, the Museum reached out to our community with innovative online and on-site programming. The 2021 Annual Fund celebrates the many ways our programs, from virtual educational offerings and exhibition openings, to on-site activities and take home art projects, have continued to provide you the art experiences that are so important in our lives.

The Annual Fund letter, written by Neci Foster whose daughters participate in our A+ART program designed specifically for children and young adults on the autism spectrum, exemplifies the way Museum programs continue to meet the needs of our community during the pandemic. The following represents excerpts from that letter:

“I am writing this letter to let you know how valuable the VBMA’s A+ART program has been to our household during these uncertain times.  I don’t know how you do it, but A+ART seems to provide just the right combination of structure that the disabled community craves, and the freedom for the participants to be who they are at every given moment. I am not sure you are aware of this, but the students that have chosen the virtual education option during this crisis have had to suspend taking their elective art classes.  Therefore, this unique program is meeting an unmet need at this crucial time.”

Whether it’s a visit to the galleries or a virtual exhibition opening that relaxes you, a class that inspires you, or engaging with online offerings via Museum Extras to help pass the time at home, the Museum is your place for meaningful experiences through the arts.

Your gift of $50, $250, $1,000, or whatever amount is comfortable for you, will make a difference in continuing this tradition of celebrating art, innovation and excellence.
