Annual Fund

Art Matters… to our families and our children. The Vero Beach Museum of Art plays a vital role in the life of our community. The Museum provides all of us with a wonderful venue to experience the arts and is the principal source of art education for the children and young adults living in Indian River County. Gifts to the Annual Fund continue to provide essential support for meaningful programs that can change lives.

Your gift will make it possible for the Vero Beach Museum of Art to remain an important center for arts education – providing essential support for a diverse array of programs that can change lives. Whether it’s a visit to the galleries that relaxes you, a class that inspires you or a rewarding volunteer opportunity helping others, the Museum is your place for meaningful experiences through the arts.

The 2018 Annual Fund celebrates the many ways our exhibitions impact our community. For example, during this past Fall’s Maurice Sendak exhibition of illustrations from the celebrated children’s book, Where the Wild Things Are, Museum Art School faculty took exhibition themed materials into local elementary schools to integrate the arts into student curriculum and through collaboration with The Learning Alliance, hundreds of elementary school-age students came to the Museum for programs using art to encourage their love for reading.  Louise Kennedy, English Department Chair at Saint Edward’s School tells us about bringing her students to learn from the exhibitions: “This year, Where the Wild Things Are allowed students to connect to a variety of issues that we regularly encounter in the class. One student, Omar, drew a connection between the exhibition and the civil rights movement seeing Max learning to befriend monsters as a metaphor for being able to befriend people of other races who may look different.”

Your gift of $50, $250, $1,000, or whatever amount is comfortable for you, will make a difference in continuing this tradition of celebrating art, innovation and excellence. You can make a donation by clicking below!
