This is a hands-on course geared to introduce students to jewelry and metalsmithing materials, tools, and techniques, which will allow you to become familiar and at ease with a variety of metals and ways to create interesting and wearable art. Safety will be paramount in the use of all tools and materials. This course will include: etching, piercing (saw work), silver soldering, metal forming, cabochon stone setting, riveting, findings, and finishing. We will be making rings, earrings, pins and pendants. The pace of this course will be at each student’s pace, but no limit on the number of pieces produced. Jewelry Metalsmithing info
