We will plunge into the life, times, and works of art of influential Gilded Age and modern-era collectors whose magnificent collections led to new museums across America, and radically changed the tenor and taste of museum collections in established settings. Their zeal for collecting advanced attitudes for art of the new, classical, and diverse. This class complements the VBMA exhibition Vero Collects: Hidden Treasures Revealed.
