Drawing: Painting Expressively – with Pamela Pike Gordinier
January 18, 2019 @ 8:00 am - January 20, 2019 @ 4:30 pm$350. – $375.
Capture the essence, the gestalt, or the moment of how you felt when you saw the image you wanted to draw. Work large and loose with charcoal, pen, or ink and then learn to veil with acrylic paint to establish emphasis and create more emotion. Watch a PowerPoint of artists who work expressively and then apply it to your own work. Do quick drawings emphasizing: shape, texture, line, mark, repetition, or rhythm. In the afternoon, work on your own expressive drawing or painting project using the medium of your choice.
Pamela Pike Gordinier has been a member of The Connecticut Academy of Fine Arts, The Copley Society of Boston, and the Connecticut Watercolor Society. An award-winning artist, her work hangs in the collections of several Fortune 500 companies. With a Master’s in Education, Pam works to demystify the language of art. She teaches in Stonington, CT, and has taught workshops in Venice, Portugal, and France.
