This eight week studio course is for students who wish to explore a expressive drawing and acrylic painting with an emphasis on creative thinking. Students will discover the fundamental techniques through painting exercises merged with an innovative approach to color harmony, compositional balance, and spontaneity. Extensive observation of contemporary expressionists will be introduced. Students will work on paper and canvas. Students must complete Abstract Expressionism I before
enrolling in Abstract Expressionism II.
Classes meet October 15 – December 10 (no class November 26 due to Thanksgiving week)
