Join the Athena Society The Athena Society, established in 2003, funds and selects significant art acquisitions for the Museum's permanent collection. Currently at 76 member households, the Athena Society meets three times each year in addition to participating in special travel opportunities. The inital Society meeting is an opportunity for members to enjoy a lecture and discussion with an expert in Ameicna art, while enjoying cocktails and hors d'oeuvres in a Society member's home. In April, members gathered at the Museum to evaluate a selection of actual works of art that they voted on. The Museum is proud to announce the newest Athena Society purchases of The Delaware Valley by Edward Redfield, and Untitled by Conrad Marca-Relli.

Athena Society Calendar: Athena Cocktail Receptions - Wednesday, November 17, 2010, and Thursday, February 17, 2011; Athena Society Dinner and Voting - Wednesday, April 13, 2011. Athena Society membership dues are $5,000 annually. Museum membership at the Chairman's Club level or higher is required.
